The Blog Component:

"The Blog" in short, is a discussion. It is a place where we, as studio artists, meet and discuss our most recent work. We post pictures, promote thought, ask advice, and offer suggestion all under the umbrella of encouragement. This is a protected space where only a few have the opportunity to share their thoughts. They are those in our unique disposition: Art students like ourselves, and those who care about our well being and education (parents and staff collaborators).

Posts:

You are expected to post every Friday. No exception. Post your recent work, post your ideas, post your most recent sketch, like Egon Schiele did, on his dying lap, but post. Any post gets 4 points. Unless, it is late (-1 point) or doesn't have a photo (-1 point), lacks a link (-1 point), or doesn't have a caption or written portion accompnaying the post (-1 point). Oh, well I guess without all of those that is a 0 and you haven't posted.

Titles- Each post must be titled! Include your last name in the title of the post. For example: "Rieger: So what are you posting for?"

Comments (Reply):

You are expected to comment or reply on a classmates post every Monday. No exceptions. Ask insightful questions, comment on particular strengths, get existential about the imagery you see but comment. Comments get 2 points. Unless it is late (-1 point), lacks insight or appears overly simplified (-1 point). Oh, well I guess without all of those that is a 0 and you haven't commented.

Response (Reply to a "reply"):

You are expected to respond to any comments on your post every Wednesday. No exceptions. Answer questions, show gratitude for the support, ask further questions, make those who've chosen your post worth while feel appreciated. Any Response gets 2 points unless it is inconsiderate (-2 points). Oh, well I guess without all of those that is a 0 and you haven't responded.
